Every fall and early winter I go looking for bighorn rams, hoping to see them fight for mating rights in their annual rut. This year I found a small herd up on some rock cliffs, charging and ramming heads despite the incredibly little foot room they had to work with. These two rams hit each other more than a dozen times, but this one image was my favorite from the day, catching them at the millisecond before they hit.
