I only caught a brief glimpse of movement in the forest, but decided it was worth investigating. Scanning with my camera, the coyote showed itself for only a fraction of a second before disappearing yet again. While some photographers only like the shots where an animal is out in the open, I enjoy photographs like this, because they accurately reflect how o many wildlife encounters go: just a glimpse of something moving through the trees.
