I watched this coyote hunting in a field for a while before it headed towards the forest. Just before disappearing into the trees, it turned back to look at me in the fading light, creating what is one of my favorite photographs. The eye contact with the animal, the contrast of the darkening forest behind, and the motion of the grasses blowing in the breeze came together perfectly for just a moment.
