I came upon this wolf unexpectedly while driving through a seemingly empty valley one morning. At first I thought it was a coyote, but as we pulled forward it rapidly became clear that it was much too large for a coyote. The wolf trotted parallel to us about thirty yards off the road. A family member steered the car while I hung the camera lens out the window, capturing just a few quick shots before the wolf disappeared into the brush.
