Seeing this owl was hands down the weirdest bit of timing I’ve ever experienced. Driving down a dirt road one evening on my way back to lodging, I said out loud, “Man, I really need to get better at finding owls.” I’d barely finished the sentence when out of the corner of my eye I saw this owl swoop down onto a rodent in a field to my left. I immediately pulled over and spent half an hour watching the owl hunt.
