My photography tours are designed for people who are passionate about viewing and photographing wildlife. During your tour I will share everything everything I’ve learned over the past several years about finding and photographing wildlife, giving you the insider’s guide to some of the best wildlife viewing in North America. Over the course of your trip we’ll also discuss photography technique, including camera settings, composition, and editing tips to help you make the best photographs possible.

Each tour is private and customized, with no more than three people per tour. Although I have a plan in place for each tour, all of my tours are catered to you, so if there are particular places you want to see or things you want to learn, that is exactly what we’ll do.

Tours are run year-round, with each season bringing its own unique benefits:

  • Summer is busy, with every species of animal out and about. Baby animals, especially bison calves and bear cubs, are frequent sightings. Bird species are plentiful.
  • Fall brings beautiful colors and the rut. Elk and moose alike are in their mating season, bringing males to guard their females with fully-grown, impressive antlers. Foxes, coyotes, and wolves are putting on their heavier coat for the cold months ahead.
  • Winter is a time of silent beauty. Coyotes, foxes, and wolves are in their full winter coat and become easier to find. Bighorn rams now enter their rut, clashing in dramatic fashion, while bison plow through snowy landscapes. Otters are occasionally seen, and very rarely, so are ermine.

Tour rates are $200 per person per full day and $100 per person per half day.
